« on: April 10, 2007, 05:05:41 PM »
Hi Folks

I got my Coat King today - I presume it only takes out the dead hair -  had a wee practice and it was taking out loads.?

i also ordered a spratts comb as recommended on here so gonna try it out

hes only been to the groomers - 3 weeks ago but she did say there was a lot more to come out..

Coat kings are great for removing hair, But I think they do tend to cut the hair so all hair removed might not be just dead hair. The spratts comb is great for removing puppy fluff

I would try using a Mikki Scraper - the blue one as it takes out the dead hair.  I find a Coat King sometimes takes too much coat, especially a puppy's coat.

I got worried when I first read that the coat king "cuts" the coat - but if you aren't intending to show your dogs, then it really is a fantastic little tool  :D

If used long term, it "might" cause a few areas to curl, although I haven't really noticed; and bear in mind the alternatives -  if the coat kind didn't exist, then Molo would no doubt be clipped because there is no way I have the patience to hand strip  ph34r

As Sarah25 said you can get a Mikki Scraper from Pets at Home.  Make sure you get the blue one as the red one is for courser haired dogs.
