advice and info needed please xx
« on: April 17, 2007, 11:08:31 AM »
hi
i could do with a little advice about my boy, well were going through a rough time with him at moment with vets as hes very lame on his front right leg. hes had x-rays, fluid tests etc etc but not got down to the bottom of it yet so he needs to have a cat scan  :-\

anyway from all these injections and jabs hes had they have shaved off his leg hair on just his elbows so as you can imagine it looks really daft! would i be best getting his legs fully clipped so that there the same? his fur is pretty long and ive heard it doesnt grow back nice when clipped. do any of you have pictures of your cockers who have been clipped please? and will it grow back ok?
thanks so much in advance

Your dog's hair will grow back and where he was shaved will not be noticeable.

I tend to keep Charley fairly short in the spring and summer as we spend most of the time in south west France where it is quite hot, and so it keeps Charley comfortable.

Personally I'd just leave the hair to grow back. Casper had a patch of his leg shaved and it grew back quite quickly. You wouldn't know where it had been now.
Mind you, he is a worker so he has shorter hair on his legs anyway.  :-\

Poor Dylan  :'( . Hope it gets sorted soon  :luv: .

I agree with Rhona W. Don't clip any more of him, unless you were going to do it anyway. It will grow back pretty quickly and his existing feathers will help to hide it sooner  .
