Clippers can these be used on dogs?
« on: May 21, 2007, 12:38:36 PM »
As some of you may have seen in my thread today, I stupidly bought some clippers for Billy, only to discover they are actually human ones  ph34r

I have e mailed the seller asking if I can have a refund less her e bay costs etc & she has agreed. But she has said that she has sold some of these clippers to people for their pets.

So , please can you look at them and tell me are they ok for pets? or am I best just obtaining a refund?

thanks

They are only for starters, when I get better & am happy i can use them ok, I'll buy the more expensive ones

We have the pet osters in work, and they are fab. I wouldn't buy those TBH as dog fur may be a lot denser than human hair, and they are quite expensive if they don't work.... I got Mosers for 150 including a blade and am v happy with them, unless you are spending a lot more.

I'm useless, eh! :005:

Human hair clippers probably won't have as powerful a motor as professional dog clippers so you'd be taking a chance if you decided to have these but then again, if they didn't do the job, you could always re-sell them on Ebay and buy a good pair of dog clippers next time ;)

Cheers guys  ;)

think I'll have a refund and buy some others  :D

did think about trying them and then selling them if they don't work out but can't really be bothered with the hassle.

I don't usually make big cock ups like this  ph34r :005:

Why not put them back on ebay? (unused)

If you can confirm that the rrp is definately £79 (have a surf to see what the 'going rate' is outside of ebay).. then you should at least get your money back... (including postage costs)?

Good luck
