How do you groom the cheek area on the face? mine all look really chubby as the fur is just growing outwards! Is it a scissor job? Cheers! ;D

Hiya Karen,

I use thinning scissors on this part..as Butty grows a wee beard to  ;) If you haven't got any thinning scissors it is definetly worth investing in some...just for keeping feet etc tidy in between trims  :)

I'm not sure if this is correct but I hand strip Jimmy's cheeks/face but the hair he has there is quite short and not "whiskery". It does seem to come out really easily on him in these areas though. He loves it too and even sighs with pleasure, unlike when I attempt to strip his head and the tops of the ears. :o

With some Cockers, it is possible to handstrip the "cheeks" but for those with thicker or difficult coats, its easier & kinder to use thinning scissors so definitely invest in a pair Karen (if you haven't already) :)
