First time at groomers
« on: January 17, 2008, 12:40:33 AM »
Hi,

Poppy off for her first "haircut" tomorrow.  She is seven months old, not sure when most people get their dogs cut for the first time but we felt it was about the right time for a tidy up as she has 4 large mops attached to her legs which are getting a tad wet with all this horrible weather.

Don't know why but I'm a bit nervous about getting our little fluff bucket cut?!?!  I just kind of love her exactly as she is but she is getting a bit unwieldy to dry off.

Hope she behaves and does not embarrass me  ph34r she tends to be quite good at that  :005:

Anyone got any funny grooming stories to make me feel better?  :D

Maybe its because our workers lack hair, just jealous  :005: :005:

No I dont like them Clipped too much either so I'm hoping for just a tidy up and a trim!  Especially those feet - Oooh more nervous now!  ph34r

I guess you just have to make sure you ask for what you want!

Ps just read one of the ohter threads about taking a photo - thats a really good idea.

Not to much taken off just nice and tidy and esp nice tidy feet!!!   :luv: :luv:

Really really pleased..... :D  Its nice when you find someone who is really nice with the doggies and you also end up with what you want.

Just trimmed with Scissors.  Will get a photo when OH comes back as its a two man job!

I was pleased as well as she had no tangles and the lady said she had nice clean ears  :D top marks for us first timers!

OH still away with work so attempted some pics on my own..... They are not the best pictures of Poppy (and you have to bear in mind that she has been spayed so still growing back fur underneath!)

Before our little fluff bucket..... :luv: look at those paws  :005:

and after (still a fluff bucket but nice and tidy esp those paws!!)  :luv:

Looking forward to her next trim as everything may have grown enough by then to get a "proper" cocker shape.  :D

Oh yes - lady said I could have feet cut shorter but I quite liked them a bit longer.....

Wow she is gorgeous!  I'll need to keep Sam away from here later so he doesn't fall in love!!

She looks gorgeous!  :luv: The groomers have done a great job - neat and tidy but still nice and furry (if that makes sense!)  :D
