Hi Amber

And welcome to the board :D .

This will probably get moved to grooming shortly and I can't help as I'm not anywhere near you but am interested to find out what 'roller' means :?     I've never hear do it before
I'm sure someone here will be able to help you find a suitable groomer  :D

hi this was a term used by another cocker owner on Monday  who I meet in the New Forest, who also had a 7mth old Bitch, I was asking about the subject of hand stripping, It was at that point she told me about the lady who had worked on her puppy and told me she used a ROLLER, and I must say her Puppy looked fantastic, later I went to find her to get a phone number but she had gone.

Not sure what a roller means in relation to a Cocker either :? Rolling the coat is a term used in stripping out wire coated breeds like Terriers & Schnauzers but its a method rather than a tool. I imagine in this case it either means stripping using a knife or a Coat King. I cannot think of a specialist Cocker groomer in Hants at the moment but you could try contacting the Hants & Sussex Cocker Club as the Secretary may know someone who can help you (ring Mrs Morton on 01256 862747)
