Make sure you take the photo along though and explain exactly what you want done.  I made that mistake once and Coco ended up with a very strange "do"  :005:

I hope it wasn't by that mobile groomer that you used!  :o ;) :lol2:

I wondered if you would pick up on that one  :005: :005: No, of course it wasn't you but Coco ended up with her feet clipped short and these sort of baggy pantaloon things on her legs - she looked proper daft!  ::) :lol2:

Yes, 2 March. I can't wait and I bet Ollie can't either. :D He's going to a place called Absolutely No Tangles:

Gave Coco a haircut at the weekend  :D  I waited because of the cold weather but she is sooo much better and tidier now and so much quicker drying and cleaning her up after a walk  :luv:  She obviously felt better too as the first thing she did was run outside and writhe about on the grass  :005:

After messing about with feathers for a bit, I clip Dave out fully now too but leave his tail a bit longer - because he's very dark blue roan but his tail is white it's a good way to keep an eye on him when walking at dusk too

For us it's the easiest way to keep him because we walk in a very muddy sandy forest everyday and if he's got feathers he gets tangled up in stuff. He's happy clipped without a coat (he runs the whole time so stays warm that way), I also think fit cockers look lovely when clipped and the house is a lot less smeggy! So go for it even if they take off more than you'd wanted it always grows back again... very quickly so don't worry too much!

Thanks Trevor. I'm thinking of asking them to take everything off his body and head, clip under the ears, but leave the top surface of the ears and leave his tail. He keeps getting stuff stuck in his feathers too, so i think he'll be happier. :)

We have Poppy clipped completely- she looks beautiful when she's done as her markings are stunning, but I do prefer it when her hair's grown back a bit. There was never any intention to show her, and I know the coat is never the same once they've been clipped, but it means that we never have problems with matting as once she starts looking like a wooly mammoth it's time for clipping again. I will post a picture of her 'short' if I can find one- she comes out knowing she looks pretty!!
