1st Hair Cut
« on: March 31, 2009, 07:14:13 PM »
Hi, I have a 5 month old blue roan cocker puppy called Barney, his hair/fur is now starting to feather quite long & thick on his legs, along his back its getting quite long and his head hair is very long & curly. Can someone tell me when I should start taking him for grooming, I brush him every day but I think he might need a little trim.

Hi Sue
Willow was first tidied up at about 4 months just to get her used to it.

I agree, It might be well booking him in for a little trim now, so he can get to experience the groomers when he’s young :D

Hi ya

Our George is 6 months and we went for our first haircut last week ( very emotional). My breeder advised hand stripping his head last month just to keep him looking tidy! I found it very relaxing and so does George!
