Bear in mind this is a US site where clipping rules ok ;)

It is very difficult to teach a practical skill/art like Cocker grooming simply by reading a book or an internet site ;)  There's no substitute for being shown what to do by someone experienced which is how most people in Cockers do learn. This site gives basic step by step info on Cocker Show trims but I don't believe you can learn from a website alone. Why not go along to some shows & watch how people trim their dogs or ask advice from some of the breeders there? I learned a lot from doing this when I started learning to trim :)

That's what I do    I think all the scottish folk are fed up with me looking at their dogs necks  ;) Also see if any cocker clubs are holding any grooming workshops  :) I'm sure Kim posted recently about one  ;)  I went to one and found it very helpful  :)  My main problem is I think I'm a bit heavy handed with the thinners and tend to cut rather than thin
