Blade size for clippering out tangles/matts?

My new Andis 2 speed have arrived (and they are fantastic!  ) - I have got two blades - size 10 and size 7f. I am wondering if I should get a third one for getting out matts/tangles (like in the 'armpit' area)? Some that give a very close cut?

I have an Oster, and use the 10 and 7f regularly, but also I have a 15 which I use for underarms and other awkward bits if need be; it gives a close cut but not a surgical trim like a 40 does.  But I'm sure the experts on here will have more advice - my dogs are not shown by the way

Thanks for that! Charlie isn't shown either. I try to keep on top of his fur as best as I can, but sometimes he does develop matts, especially when I've been away and he hasn't been groomed every day (or if the weather has been bad.  ).

I just use the #10 in reverse, so against the hair growth.  I usually find that is plenty short enough for armpits etc.

The #10 should be fine for clipping armpits, inside ears etc.
