I would completely ignore her...i had exactly the same with Dolly lots of people kept on at me to strip her coat out but it wasn't ready to come...So i left it until it was ready!!!( i just trimmed her feet & ears etc) and I am so glad i did because it came out beautifully and her coat is beautiful now (even if i say so myself) :005:

I have also placed young dogs with lots of coat, a good judge will not be too concerned with puppy coat and concentrate on the construction underneath. :D

Good luck with the showing  :D

I can only go on showing golden retrievers but at six months they are still babies and I would be very surprised if at six months you had the 'finished article'.

It was a companion show, these should be fun and your first experience of showing and I'm sorry your experience was not as much fun as it should have been.

Just remember, you always take home the best looking and best natured dog in the show.

I don't know anything about showing but at 6 months you are not going to get sleek lines he is still a baby.
He is totally gorgeous.  :luv: :luv:
