Hi Sass

I have a Micro grooming table, that im selling I got it from Denbar last year, its a "micro light" one, supposed to be extra light for shows etc., and it folds from the middle of the table flat., so you dont have to put it on the floor and fold the legs down if you see what i mean.

I can transport it to Crufts.   If your interested, let me know and mail me privately.  I bought it for £80 but only want £50 for it, as want to get a more solid one at Crufts.

Can someone please advise what size grooming table is most suitable for a cocker.... 36"x24" or 30"x19"?

My table is 29"x19" and is fine for a Cocker, although I sometimes wish I had more room for all the chopped off fur and also to lay out the grooming tools - the dogs always end up sitting on them   ....... so I'd say get the larger one, if there isn't much of a price difference.

You could try this link, a table for under £90 with free delivery ...

Mine's 32" x 20"

Colin having your tools sat on is better than your scissors being knocked onto the floor as this ruins their balance!

But don't buy a table too big. I use my newfy-sized table for my cockers as well. For the newfy the size is ok, but for cockers its a ballroom, that make them dance!

No matter how big the table are, they will sit on your grooming tools anyway...

u should buy a toolbelt for scissors Colin, makes u look pro  :D

This is where mine and Colins came from at Crufts last year.

I personally wouldn't want it any bigger as Lottie often shifts around on it so the less room for her to fidget the better    I just lay my tools out on the work surface next to me ;)

Mine's a Petcetera trolley table and it measures 36" x 24" which is pretty big, it's very heavy to   It was £55 second hand which I was more than happy with, even more so when I saw it as it wasn't advertised as a trolley table  ;)

I've worked out a solution - a row of hooks underneath at one end to hang the tools from, and also a couple of hooks at the other end to hold a bag into which I can shovel all the dead hair.  :) No more painful sitting on the Slicker brush pins for Jimmy and no more sitting under the table eating stray mouthfuls of fur for Misty. :D

I'm hoping to invest or consider buying a table at Crufts, along with show leads, vet bedding etc etc etc, so I'm having to take the whole family along, sporting Cocker T shirts, to help me carry it all.  Should make me easy to spot anyway!!!!
