Hi All,

Thanks once again for all your replies.  Some of them really made me laugh.  :005: :005:  Looks like I'm not the only one with a 'Womble type'!!!  I knew there were Show & Working types, just wasn't expecting a Womble type  :D  I will book her into groomers when we get back from holiday.  Meanwhile I'll see if I can pluck up the courage to have a go myself, if not she will just have to stay looking like Uncle Bulgaria for a couple of weeks.  :D

Bramble says have a lovely holiday...... She went to the groomers a couple of weeks ago and is now free of all feathers....I have tried trimming her with human scissors, but she just won't stand still for me.....

My Toby went to the groomers today for his very first session and is now looking like a cocker spaniel once again.

Fern's a worker but she did a good impression of a womble before she went over to the dark side  :shades:

Now you can see what I mean

Awwwww she looks exactly what she's supposed to look like at that age - love that puppy fluff  :luv: :luv:    Quinn still has some of his puppy coat at nearly 11 months old.

I use hairdressing ones (only from Boots) for trimming Fern's feet paws!

I use those scissors as well

Thank you, he looked like a different dog when he came trotting out to meet us, was hoping to take a before photo when we parked at the groomers, but she came out to greet us and took him straight away for a walk to give him chance to do his toilet as I never had chance to walk him.

Forgot to mention our new groomers is attached to our vets, they have a cattery and kennels where the grooming takes place. I wish you luck in finding a good groomer for your Ruby as I know how very important it is to find a good one especially for Ruby's first grooming session.

Thanks Jackie, I hope we can find a good groomer for Ruby. We have had two recommended locally. Both recommendations come from friends, but one owns a King Charles Cavalier and the other a Springer, so I am going to call both to see if they have experience with Cockers. I want her to be "trimmed and tidy" but not clipped, if you know what I mean. I like her fluffy legs but don't want her feet to be uncomfortable for her.

Bramble ( Langcliffe), you looked lovely when we met you a few weeks ago! Thanks for wishing Ruby a good holiday, I'm sure she'll have a great time!!
