Which brush?
« on: July 25, 2011, 02:06:27 PM »
I am looking to replace Alfie's basic hair brush that I use before using other grooming tools to detangle and dematt when necessary. The one I have at the moment is small, not very robust and not very effective. I feel that if I had a stronger brush used regularly, then he might have less matts and tangles as he approaches the time for his next grooming. I do have a slicker brush but prefer to use the normal type initially. I have looked back through the threads for brush recommendations and someone mentioned a brush from #1 All Systems and I've also looked at wooden pinned ones, but not sure which would be best for Alfie, who will be 2yrs in Sept. He is a show type, (but I don't show him), he has a very thick coat especially ears and legs. He goes to his dog groomer every 6-7weeks. Any recommendations would be helpful please.

I use the small Lawrence Tendercare slicker brush.  Works well on my 2 show types who aren't clipped, and doesn't hurt them either.  Used them for years.
