Keeping paw hair short..
« on: August 19, 2011, 09:14:03 AM »
Hey guys Diesel is clearing up but i have been advised to keep his paw hair short so that his treatment spray can get on all of his paw and not just on the lots of fur he has.... Is this easy to trim or should i take him to the groomers to get his paws done ????
Not sure how much grooming is
Please help :)
My Mummy's name is Charlene
My name is Diesel

I would try yourself with scissors at first. Just trim a tiny bit at a time to get Diesel used to you handling his paws, if you are struggling then I would take him to a groomer.  My boy Eric hates having his paws touched and really plays the groomer up when he's having his done  ph34r

Try doing it when he is relaxed do little bits at a time, I always keep a scissors on me in the house, when they are asleep next to me I trim bits away ;) It is best to try and get him used to it first but if its too tricky then try my approach ;)

Scissors also kept handy, on side table in lounge  :lol2: here.  As, that's where I'm more likely to take a snip snip.  I would get him comfortable with just touching his feet and treating him and then progressing to a little snip.  Good luck with him.

Ask your breeder to show you how to do it...she is a fantastic groomer.
