Wanted Good Groomer in Edinburgh Area
« on: October 21, 2011, 02:54:39 PM »
I have just had Cupar who is 11months groomed and nightmare >:D  Although the groomer has left feathering on his bib, ears, feet and tail his head and back has been SHAVED , Im horrified and will not be taking him back to this particular groomer. Does anyone know of a groomer in Edinburgh/East Lothian area who is efficient in grooming show type cockers. Would be grateful for recommendations for his next groom.

Is Carstairs Junction or Biggar too far away? Specialists in Cocker Spaniel grooming there.

Thanks, would be willing to travel to Biggar to get the right person. Do you have a name and address.

Aw what a shame  :o

It's awful if they don't do things the way you ask >:D

I'm afraid the nearest I could suggest is Johnstone  :-\

I took Tilly here until we moved down south last year - http://www.pucci-grooming.com/   They're not far from the ERI, around Liberton way.

Tilly's a working Cocker and is clipped - they did a great job on her and she still looked like a spaniel - but a friend had her show Cocker stripped by them and it was her recommended them to me. They're very nice and usually very busy, I used to book about a month in advance.

Thanks to all for the recommendations. ;) I feel a bit better now after hearing that there are cocker groomers out there. I was never going to get him groomed again, thats how bad I felt. I certainly will follow these leads for groomers for the next time, when I pluck up the courage, however it will be a long time until his coat gets to the unmanagable stage as its very short. I want to cry every time I look at him. Wish it was next month at this time and his golden locks are back.
Thanks for your support as Im new to the forum and have never had a cocker before.
