Nope - some of us have fluffy oranges!

Thankfully Jasper doesn't like the mud as much as the other 3!  and he's a lot older now and clipped!

:rofl1: :rofl1: :rofl1:

love Jasper. Archie is getting fluffier by the day. I was beginning to think he was only one.

This was William on his 2nd birthday. His coat was quite heavy then and was just getting to the stage where hand stripping was no longer possible. He was castrated at 15 months because he had a retained testicle. His coat before castration and for a while afterwards was quite heavy but silky.

This is a more recent photo. When hand stripping was no longer possible I used a coat king and thinning scissors for a about 3 years but resorted to partly clipping him a couple of years ago. I mostly do him myself but about twice a year he goes to a Cocker breeder and groomer for a proper tidy up. He's always stayed fairly clean (doesn't really do mud or water or rolling :luv:) so I don't bath him very often, but when I do he takes ages to dry, clipped or not.

Ohhh I'm in heaven. These are all such lovely doglets  :luv: Can't get over how fluffy Jasper is  :005: He's adorable (as are all of them)

Here is Woody:

His coat is quite fine and always moulting however like others have said mud does seem to brush out once dry and after he's got all wet and muddy he does seem to dry white? (strange really) He dries quite quickly after a bath (mainly due to letting me blast him off quickly with the hairdryer  :005:)

As you know I have Muppet (orange roan & tan) and Krumble (orange & white).  When we go for a walk we all come back plastered in mud.  The strange thing is, within a couple of hours Krumble looks pristine again where as Muppet will look like a rangy old bath mat until such time as she has had a bath!

Can't post photos as I am on the other side of the world but will do when I get back.  This thread is great as I am getting my orange fix as I am really missing my two while I'm here.  There is a distinct lack of cockers over here, in fact there is a distinct lack of doglets in general.  More photos please!

My tiny little Holly is Orange & White not Orange Roan but her coat grows so fast....my two worker boys are much easier coat wise.   I use a whitening shampoo on Holly and she looks like she has just come out of the washing machine  :005: :005: she is still one of the smallest cockers I have ever seen

This is her on her 1st birthday in April this year.....before and after

absolutely gorgeous photos everyone.  Love this thread.  sorry computer illiterate so can't post photos without hubby's help.  Pebbles coat seems to moult much more than our blue roan ever did.  Looks very muddy after a walk but soon brushes out.  Well, after a struggle grooming, she is awful at letting me do anything.  Hopefully will get better the older she gets.

I am so glad you have posted this as I was getting quite despondant at reading about all these orange roans who go lovely and white after a brush.  Ellie is lovely and white after a bath, but after a couple of walks (including rolls) she just goes beigy grey.

Coco is not too bad.  Her coat is quite fine, just needs some thinning out on legs and ears.  I use a brightening shampoo on her and she comes up quie well with that, doesn't really suffer coat staining at all.  She does matt very easily though as her coat is so fine.
