1st time at groomer
« on: July 04, 2012, 08:10:58 AM »
Hi I get my pup in a few weeks and i am a first time cocker owner. When i get him i will be checking his teeth and ears and brushing him everyday just so he is used to it. What I was wondering should I take him the groomer after he has had all his needles, and if I do what would you advise me to have done. I just want him to get used to being groomed. Also what grooming tools am i best investing in for the house

I dont think there is any need to take him so early, unless its just for a bath etc,
We took Riley for the first time last week and he is 4 1/2 months old, even then I only wanted his paw hair trimmed, his bottom area slightly trimmed and she did a bit on his head too.
He is however been brushed every day since we got him.
I have a soft ball slicker brush and a spratts 76 comb which COL peeps recommended.
