Metal are much better as they won't bend or break so easily. These will also fit on other clippers. I use them on my Andis.  ;) Depends what for as to which one, but this is a set and all colours have lengths on them. You need to use these over a fine blade for best results.  :D

Yes I've seen this on FB. It could also be if the groomer isn't stretching the skin enough when clipping and the blade is catching!? Yes on most clippers you can get different length blades as well as comb attachments which fit over the blades. Comb Attachement will in the main leave it longer and more natural, so may not help this. I would discuss with your groomer before buying anything just to save yourself some money.  ;)

I have this set of combs, and they can only be used with a WAHL 8F blade. (not supplied).

All other blades are too long for the comb to fit over.

Please check before buying.  Hope this helps.

Are you talking about the metal combs as if so they fit over any blades not just the one you stated. I use them with my Andis clippers all the time and to get the best effects with these you need to use a fine blade as in 10 or 15.  ;)

I have the set as per your link address WAHLAC.  The only blade that these combs will fit onto is the Wahl 8F.  All the other Wahl A5 fitting blades that I have are too long for the combs to fit onto.  I was disappointed with them.  The blade costs about £25 while the comb set only costs half that, although the combs are pretty good quality.

Well I am very surprised by that being that they are the same make even.  I don't have Wahl clippers as I am not a fan, but the comb attachments are excellent. They fit over ALL my Andis and Oster blades, so how odd that they don't fit their own make. I also find it odd that they would only fit an 8F blade as a fine blade such as 10/15 is far better to use. As a professional groomer I have tried many combs, but find these are by far the best around.

I agree with your sentiments entirely.  I have tried again to fit a 5F blade to a comb and I really wanted to be wrong about this but it just would not fit.  When I have to buy any new blades in the future, I will opt for Andis as you professionals all seem to be happy with them. I am a complete amature, Megan is the only dog that I have ever trimmed and I must say that I enjoy clipping her.

I love the opening page of your blog with the black and gold cockers, stunning.

Yes the Andis are great. Can't go wrong with them. I would check they fit your clippers though as they don't sound the most versatile.  :shades: If you mean my Chamerl site? Thankyou. Old pics now and really ought to get around to finishing site. Just finding the time.  ;)
