does my dog have to be clipped/stripped?
« on: November 19, 2012, 09:57:04 PM »
Out of interest, if I didnt get Sandon clipped or stripped what would he look like??!!
He hasnt had either so far and he is 6 months I wasnt sure if his fur would stay similar to how it is or go bonkers and long!
Does anyone not get their dog clipped or stripped or is this a crazy thought?! :005:

In general terms this will all depend on the dogs coat type if they will need regular stripping or clipping of the top/back coat and a lot depends on if they have been spade or not but yes they all need some attention.

As he is only 6 months his coat will start to change some do go through the woolly bear stage some are not so bad.

This is the sort of regular attention being every couple of months would need to be
Feet tidy & leg feathering shorten
Ears I like to keep the hair short around the ear opening where the ears sit next to the side of their heads.
General tidy of the tail area

I would say that this will be a minimum thinning and stripping will depend on how thick the coat grows and like I say if they have been nuetered or not.

Hope that helps a little
