I'm Higgins the rescue Staffie and I'm also a fun-raising dog for the excellent charity www.medicaldetectiondogs.org.uk

Thank you for asking me to be your first ever doggy judge for your photo competition. I think I'd be as good as a human judge if not better as...
(1) I know a lot about dogs (as I am one)
(2) I know instantly whenever I see a really good looking dog (as every day I look in the mirror and I see one)
(3) You only really get to know a dog properly when you find out everything about them from top to bottom ... Sniffing bottoms is definitely a job for a doggy judge and not a human judge!
(4) I know a thing or too about good pictures as I live with a certain human who is a wildlife photographer...and he certainly learns a lot about wild life with me around!
(5) I understand about Cocker Spaniels as they are fun, adorable and a little barking mad like me....

Brodie deserves top prize as he looks incredibly silly and very embarrassed in this pic ! Has he been doing a mad cocker zoony and then fallen over as his legs were going too fast? He looks like he's just realised he's slipped in a big cow pat ! I officially award Brodie to be Best in Show because I think he's the mutts nuts ....sadly the vet removed mine years ago!!
Reserve Best in Show goes to Penny (Jonnydog)
... because I think she's worth it ...with her glossy flowing fur and her black crinkled hairy ears ...she looks like a dog with grace, class and who likes to watch her figure .....so I guess she might have some left over food for me then?! Paws up to pretty Penny.
