Grooming Costs
« on: May 28, 2022, 08:30:51 PM »
I’m finding grooming costs are increasing (along with everything else) but wondered what everyone else is paying for their cockers?  I’m already paying more due to my cockers’ thick coats (between £47 £50) but now they’re increasing costs next month.  Is anybody else paying these prices?  Thanks

We have 7 Cockers and I do my own. None of them are spayed, so coats are much easier to manage.
I would hate to have to pay for groomers to do it.

Thanks.  I am in Gloucestershire but have just found a groomer who would groom my two for £40 each.  I will check on whether there will be a likely price increase in the next couple of months with her.

Ollie was done in April and it was £33 - it was a new groomer as sadly Ollie's previous groomer passed away.

He was in quite a state as he had gone almost 10mths.  He was just groomed and bathed no nails done.

I am in North Wales...wonder if it is regional.  My Aunt by marriage was charged £45 for a Cav recently.

Cocker kisses and cuddles just make my day!

You are always with me darlings Jaypup and my precious Oliver you are so missed

I pay £41 for Bertie.  I do Ollie myself now he’s getting older as I think he finds it too much all in one go.  I bath him one day and clip him the next!  I used to pay £25 but it seems to be creeping up.

Ours recently increased from £27 to £30 for groom and nails.
Can’t really complain as it was £27 for 4 years.
I would gladly pay her more.

It's £50 for my WCS in Hertfordshire - I do take her to a bit of a pricier groomers though as they use natural products and she has sensitive skin. They clip her nails and clean her ears as a walk in for £10 in between grooms. I could do it myself to be fair as have always clipped my cats nails and that takes nerves of steel :005: but Ivy loves going to the groomers (gets a big fuss) so it's a nice thing to do with her every now and then!
