Flea treatment Nexgard thoughts

Jaysmumagain:
Thanks all for the feedback....just to add Harry's groomer uses spot on and said on one occasion she saw a couple on one of her 3 dogs and bought Nexgard for them them next month went back to spot on...an idea but unlike her only one Harry and 3 tablets in pack.  Did think that maybe use through spring summer and then do spot on rest of the year.

It certainly is an idea about the spray Jayne. I found the EU data on Nexgard and it wasn't too worrying - why do we not print data like that  >:D Vixien thank you for your reply. Still conflict.  I have always used Advantix spot on, but vets don't stock it and even with a prescription it is pricey, so I get it from French vet company.

Thank you for your good wishes....this has come as a real shock but I just have to get on with it.

You are such a fantastic punch on here :luv:

Dylan had Nexgard spectra tabs, and no adverse effects. Out vet has now switched to Simparica, again he seems OK on that. We used to use one that began with A, I forget the name, but it made him itchy, ditto on our last cocker Milo. I prefer the tabs to the spot treatment for that reason.
Ticks are the problem here, but a flea infestation must be awful, we only ever get an odd 🤞. I do not see the point of ticks and fleas in the evolutionary grand scheme of things.

I use Simparica from my vet with no ill effects.
