Hello all

A bit of sad news to share with you all, unfortunately on Wednesday we lost our eldest Cocker 'Sweep' to cancer she was only 7 years old.
She had not been ill and it was only on Monday lunchtime that she became unwell, by Tuesday morning she was unable to walk, on Wednesday morning the vet was unhappy with her progress so decided to do exploratory surgery, as soon as he started this he discovered very advanced stage cancer, to prevent any further pain and suffering we were advised not to bring her round from the anaesthetic, so she slipped away peacefully.

Thanks to the members who were already aware of our loss and thankyou for your kind words.

Kenwu Blue Sweep (22.05.96 - 24.09.03)

My condolences to you Stuart and Joanne, and of course poor Libby who must be wondering where her mum has gone. Very sad news indeed.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Stuart - you must be devastated.  It's very hard to lose a dog suddenly and at a young age, but take comfort from the fact that Sweep was unwell for such a short time.

Very best wishes to you and your family - my thoughts are with you.

Dear Stuart & Family

So sorry to hear this very sad news - as others have already said at least she didn't suffer  :'(

Thinking of you

Derryn

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends,
so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine,
and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are
restored to health and vigor;
those wo were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.

They all run and play together,
but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver.

Suddenly, he breaks from the group,
flying over the green grass, faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and
your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face;
your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into those trusting eyes,
so long gone from your life,
but never absent from your heat.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together .........

:'(So sorry to hear your very sad news Stuart and family, as the others have said you can take some comfort in the knowledge that it was a short illness.  You can look back with a smile at all the great times you all had with Sweep. She is resting now, at peace.

Love to you all
