Sad story

This was taken from a nother forum I visit quite regularly, but very appropriate for this forum:

Weighted down dog found dead in river

The RSPCA is investigating after a cocker spaniel was found dead in a river with a 10kg dumb bell attached to its neck.

The tan coloured bitch was discovered in the water by people walking their dogs by the River Test at Nursling, Southampton, Hants, last Sunday.

A post mortem examination is due to take place to see if the the dog drowned or it was already dead before the weight was attached and the animal thrown in the river as a sick joke.

RSPCA inspector Alan Barnes said: "We are awaiting the results of the post mortem but the circumstances around this find appear to be suspicious.

"If this dog has died through drowning, then it would have suffered an horrific death and it is deeply upsetting that someone may have committed such a cruel act.

"We urge anyone who might know something to get in touch with us as soon as possible."

The RSPCA can be contacted on 0870 555 5999.

I read this story on the net yesterday and it was very upsetting. Apparently the area is covered by CCTV so hopefully they will catch the b******* who did this.

my hubby said hes willing to be punisher for these people that are caught treating animals like this....   nothing makes me or him more angry than hurting kids or animals...they love unconditionally and dont deserve it...leave the B******s in a room with hubby ...oooooh pleeeeease ...alternatively me and sam could do a good job aswell..  *wink without a smile*    sorry there isn't a smiley that does that...  and this subject doesn't actually bring a smile does it

I heard this on the morning news.  Just when you think you have heard the worst people can do, someone like this comes along and proves you wrong.  I wonder what this sort of person does in their day to day lives - how do they live with themselves after doing something like that.   >:(
