Any retired IBM engineers out there.........
« on: July 19, 2007, 06:58:38 PM »
who can help me find someone to overhaul a 1960's IBM Selectric Composer? I don't think there's too much wrong. The carriage return is stuck and it needs a good clean.

Only website I could find (mind you I didn't look extensivly) was this one
http://www.ibmtypewriters.homestead.com/
Maybe you could email them and ask them?
I found these manuals here which have been scanned in but you can still read em and they are free!!!
http://www.selectric.org/selectric/index.html
I also found a manual on ebay
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&fnu=1&from=R10&satitle=+IBM+Selectric+manual&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=ZIP%2FPostal&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1&fsoo=1
I just typed in google IBM Selectric manual.
