Any help/advice on grooming my two cockers?
they are nearly a year old, and still not been the groomers. Alfie is a worker, honey is half show and half worker.
They are not mega fluff monsters, but they definately need a tidy up.
they have both been getting brushed on a daily basis with a slicker brush. Alfie looks it and readily gives you his paws, where as honey thinks of brush as toy and wants to play with it, we usually do honey when she is relaxed and sleepy. Always armed with treats too so they associate it with somthing yummy or a toy to distract.
Anyway, what do you all recommend for shampoo, brushes etc? I did originally buy some coatex from the vets - its probably no good but its done the job so far. The bottle is empty, and they only ever really get bathed wen VERY dirty! although its regular they are dirty, they probably have only had 3 baths in the last year.
Am i bathing them too much, too little? Alfie has some matting behind his ears which i dont like and im sure it cant be too pleasant, is my best bet to get them own the groomers to get a tidy up and used to it?
