Unable to add a new photo to my avatar

I have just decided to change my avatar photo, I browed for my new photo on the "I will upload my own picture" option and then clicked the Change Profile button at the bottom, but it is just coming up as a red cross in the box.  I went back to the picture I originally had as my avatar and it is doing the same >:(

Am I doing something wrong?

Sounds like your doing the right thing to me. I changed mine the other day and it worked fine. I do notice that some peoples come up with the red cross sometimes when I browse the threads. It must be a glitch somewhere.  Hopefully someone will be along who can sort it for you soon.  ;)

Thanks 5scompany  :D  I have changed it many times before and never had a problem, so I was wondering if it was a glitch somewhere, I will try again later maybe ;)

Oh good - I thought it was just me who got the red cross!

I gave up yesterday - after trying all possible configurations - and just assumed I was being more blonde than usual!

Sometimes there is a temporary problem with uploading new avatar pics - if it persists, Stu will take a look & sort it out as soon as he can :D

It must be something to do with the file that I was trying to upload >:(  I have put the photo that was on originally and that worked :D
