unless she was stolen and abandoned from a different area but it seems unlikely
I have already ruled that out... SPCA has checked on their national database, and our lost and found websites are national as well so that covers the whole country. There hasn't been a posting about a cocker since November last year (and it was for a 7 year old). I even went to the police station, but nothing has been reported.
If she wanted to be found, it would be really really easy.
Looking good then!
Will her details remain with SPCA after a week or will they call it quits if you decide to keep her? - Just wondering would will happen if an owner turned up in a few weeks time? I seems unfair particularly as she is so young, was in a bad state and clearly has a great home with you that they could still appear later on or do you just register her somewhere as yours??
Just interested as I rehomed a dog privately and was always wondering what would happen if the owner changed her mind months down the line.. I lived for about a year with the thought that if they desperately wanted her back and thought they'd made a massive mistake, I'd probably give her back but after that year mark passed I knew there was no way on earth I'd part with her. I did have her Kennel Club papers though and something in writing to say I was rehoming her etc..
