Is that a little show cocker Milly? the little gold dog.

It certainly is John. It's Harvey, he belongs to Mandy & Simon who are members of this site.

get a pair of 'muckboots' £50 roughly a pair lined warm and very easy to walk around in you wont feel the cold, dont spend really big money on boots you wont get the use from.....

I have some woofwear yard boots which are GREAT unless the snow is too deep or there are deep puddles, as the legs are not waterproof so your feet get wet (although to be fair they stay warm even then). Will take them too and see how it looks on the day.

And I take it that is harvey running in flyball on the picture???  looks like Harvey is a very active lad, I have a little gold show type girl "Gypsy" from very well known show lines and she is very active too I train her now and again with my working cockers and she is very fiesty and lively and is actually a nice little hunter but she is a bit iffy on retreives and will only retreive when she is in the mood. But she is developing into a nice little showing dog so I am gonna work more on that next year with her.... But nevertheless show cockers do have it in them and its always nice to see them working or competing in agility or flyball, I am sure little Harvey is an inspiration to many a show cocker owner thinking of going down that track..... well done  ;) :D A few more pics of him in the field would be nice.... ph34r

It's a great question.  :D

I hope to be going beating in January for the first time and what to wear is one of the questions I have.  Does everyone wear wellies or would walking boots be ok?

So, we did it... :D

I think we met the required sartorial standard ;)

'Mumumumumumum that man! He has a BIRD!'

He was off the lead for the last two drives, never turned a hair at the shots and was basically a star :cool4: Not bad for a stinky little rescued show type :shades:

Thanks for all your advice! And good luck MuffinsMum! :dance04:

28th December :shades:

The people I went with were lovely, I was friends with one of them on another forum but we had never met, and as well as taking me along they gave me my beating stick, how nice is that? I am hoping someone will get me a hipflask for Christmas so I can take some of my homemade blackberry vodka along next time to share with them (and everyone else of course!)
