Molly's First Raw Meal

Molly has just had her first 'raw' meal ate it in seconds and really seemed to enjoy it. Can't imagine i shall ever have the courage to give her bones  .....but i do hope so.

My Millie loves them more then bannanas and carrots are good fun for teathing puppies ^^

No she didn't have bannana......that was the smiley She has minced chicken with pureed fruit and veg  ;)She does like an apple core and carrot to gnaw on

ehehe im glad im not the only one ^^

A word to the wise I found out through keeping chickens that its not a good idea to let animals have the apple core as the core contains small (very small) traces of cyanide (sp?)

The apple itself is fine though!

Mine gets a raw diet too :>

I all ways used to give my animals the core i never new it contained cyanide till someone posted it on a poultry forum and a doggy forum o.0

theirs a button called quote on each posters post if you click it, their message will appear automaticly in your next post ^^

a dog would have to consume an awful lot of apple pips for the pips to harm them - I believe it's something like a cup of pips?

....one apple core occasionally won't hurt them

Not only would they have to eat masses of apple pips in one go, they'd also have to crunch them up to release the cyanide.

Both my 2 have an apple core occasionally and are fine
