Silly question but . . .
« on: May 09, 2012, 02:34:08 PM »
How long can meat / bones stay buried for before their inedible to dogs ?

Lily's taken to burying it when she has it :017: She'll eat her kibble straight away but leaves any raw meat or bones until she can get outside to bury it, I've tried shutting her in her cage but she just doesn't eat it.  She obviously likes it mud coated  :005:

It usually only stays buried for a couple of hours max sometimes it's only minutes before she digs it up and quite happily chomps on down on it   :shades:

Also - Any idea why she does it??  I've never had a dog that does this before :dunno:

Our molly buries bones & they re-apear months later all green & manky, Does her no harm. Burying them softens them so they can finish them at a later date. Never had a dog that buries raw meat though. Un surprisingly they aren't allowed back in the house.  :005:
