Change in behaviour

Hi layla had her first season last month and since we have returned to normal walks I have noticed that she isnt as friendly towards other dogs as she was before she came into season. Is this normal could it be hormonal ? Not quite sure what to do, she really growled at another dog when we were out today. Can anyone offer any advice?
