Title: Zorro's mini adventure
Post by: clairep4 on March 06, 2007, 03:59:12 PM
So, little 6 month old whirlygig pupster Zorro (aka the Squirtmeister) loves to do the wall of death during his wrestling matches with big half-sis Bella. The best place of all for the wall of death is in the living room where we have two sofas facing each other.

Zorro's route is to leap from one sofa to the middle of the room to the other sofa and back again, gaining momentum as he goes, until when he reaches either of the sofas he's gained enough speed to be able to run across the back rest part with his body completely horizontal.   ph34r

Bella likes to lie in the middle of the room watching the proceedings, tail going like the clappers and clearly very amused by her baby brother's lunatic antics, occasionally grabbing him for a quick wrestle in between leaps.

So last night, he's been doing the wall of death for a good 5 mins solid, has a little rest to have a lie down wrestling bout with Bella (which involves them lying side by side on their backs wagging their tails, nuzzling each other and doing lots of pleasure growls  :luv:). Suddenly, he gets a second wind and takes up the mad leaping with extra enthusiasm, goes cream sofa - bounce - beige sofa - bounce - cream sofa - bounce - beige sofa and then vanishes into thin air, because he's gone so fast that he's actually landed a bit too high up the back rest of the beige sofa and is going too fast to stop himself from tumbling over the top. ph34r

Well the beige sofa is in the bay window and there are two speakers at either side, so when Bella goes to see where the Squirtmeister has gone, she can't see him at all because the speakers are just slightly taller than he is. In fact it is slightly worryingly quiet from behind the sofa so I quickly go over to have a look, and peer down on the young swashbuckler who is standing in the gap with an expression as if he's just fallen down a very deep well ("boy am I glad to see YOU! get me out!").

Anyway, he's hoiked out, Bella says "oh THERE you are!" and waggles at him, and they shuffle off together while he tells her all about it.

Oh the joys of over-exuberant teenage pupsters  :005: :luv:

 Well, if you do get one at a later date I can thoroughly recommend it - we got Zorro when Bella was nearly 2yrs and they absolutely worship the ground each other's hairy little feet shuffle on...  :luv:
