Poor little mite, I'm dropping him off at 8.45am and then picking him up early afternoon. We thought we'd get him done tomorrow as we're both then off from Wed till next Tues so he can get plenty of TLC and extra cuddles. He has one undescended testicle so they need to make two incisions.
I think the bit I'm dreading most is him realising he's not getting any breakfast tomorrow morning, he LIVES for his breakfast and I'm sure we will get the "how VERY dare you?!" woofs from him... ::) :luv:
-
Good luck ............. I'm sure he will be fine. It's us that worry!
-
Will be thinking of him :luv: Hope everything goes well.
-
Aww, now after making him look so gorgeous they're going to shave him :005:
Max also had an undescended testicle but as it was so close they managed to remove it through the same incision.
He sounds just like Max (& probably most cockers ::)) But mummy why haven't you given me any breakfast? They make you feel soooo guilty.
Lots of fuss & cuddles for Zorro over Easter then :luv:
-
Do you think he may mourn the lack of brekkie more than his boy bits :005: Seriously though, I'll be thinking of him (and you) tomorrow when he goes in for his op :luv: :luv:
-
Hope it all goes well, will be thinking of you both :luv:
-
Good luck :luv:
Of course, being a boy he will make out it hurts far more than it really does ;)
-
Hope all goes well, bless him :luv:
-
I hope everything goes ok. I am sure he will do the very very sad spaniel eyes to make you feel guilty.
-
Will be thinking of Zorro tomorrow, I'm sure he'll get lots and lots of cuddles and sympathy. :luv:
-
Hope it all goes well for him. Thinking of you
-
Good luck Zorro, milk for all it's worth......I'm sure you will :005: :005:
Cocker kisses from your mum Daisy and 1/2 sister Bella :luv:

 Now that's gonna confuse him, having two half sisters called Bella, and he's a bamboozled little soul at the best of times! :luv:
I'll let you know how it goes Sharon ;)
-
Hope it goes alright tomorrow - I expect you will be more bothered than Zorro will though :shades: I am sure it won't stop him letting you spoil him rotten though :005:
-
Good luck for tomorrow! Hope all goes well!
-
I'm sure he'll be fine but good luck Zorro anyway :luv:
p.s. Zorro's half-bro (Beau's full brother) Buster had exactly the same thing (undescended one too) and his operation went absolutely fine ;)

That would be what we'd expect from Buddy, so I can totally sympathise with Claire and Ali!
Actually, when we had to startve him before a trip to the vet a few months ago it wasn't as bad as we expected. We just took him for a long on-lead walk (so he didn't dash home for his brekkie!) and then bundled him into the car. He was miffed but not devastated (but then he did come back intact. I can't say what Zorro will think of you when he gets back!)
Hope it goes well and that he's not too sore. I'm sure Bella will ive him lots of cocker kisses tomorrow evening.

Good luck Zorro - Woody's eyes are watering for you so he sends lots of cocker licks. :luv:
-
Good luck Zorro! ;) Daddy send his love! :luv:
-
Good Luck tomorrow ;)
When we had Fern spayed two weeks on Thursday it was hard to break out of the morning routine, but I put fern in the car and took her to take the kids to school and fed Jock just beofre we went so she didn't see and he didn't miss out .
We're back at vets tomorrow to get her stitches out, I know Rhona W Casper has got dissolvable stitches, unfortunately fern hasn't ::)

Well he's currently at the vets. Neither of the dogs were at all impressed at the lack of breakfast (Bella's getting some Burns in a buster cube to keep her entertained while she's on her own till the dogwalker comes).
Anyway the nice thing is the vet said that Zorro's "looking really great" (he's not seen him since his jabs), he was very impressed with his condition and he currently weighs in at a lean 9.7kg, so I think raising him on the BARF diet has been very good for him. :D
I can call the vets at 2 to find out how he is and pick him up late afternoon. I may not have access to the internet the rest of today though but will update when I can! :D
-
I hope mr Zorro is ok :luv:
Keep us updated :)
-
I'm sure Claire won't mind me posting, Zorro is fine and being picked up at 5.30pm.

Ooooh, not long to go then til her baby is home :luv: Hope he is fine after his ordeal

Claire has just sent me an update on Zorro and asked I update you all, this was her text:
ZZ top, prognosis: Impossibly Bouncy!! Have given up on the playpen! :005: :005:
Claire doesn't have internet access at home at the moment, but I'm sure she will give you full details on Tuesday when she's back at work.
-
Just sending a v quick update from an internet cafe - Zorro's doing great, the only trouble is he's sooooo full of beans he keeps leaping up and down ph34r so we're just doing whatever we can to keep him quiet. Bella is missing the wrestling :luv:
He's allowed out for lead walks from tomorrow, thankfully, then proper walks again from Tuesday - hurray! :D He's not touched the wounds (2 of 'em as he had one undescended testicle) so they're obviously not bothering him in the slightest and they look nice and healthy - healing well.
-
Glad to hear Zorro is doing well. :luv: It's so hard to keep them quiet isn't it? We had the same prob when Pepsi was speyed.
-
Glad he's doing well ;)
As for keeping him quiet good luck :005: I couldn't keep Fern still at all after the GA had worn off, wish the vets had told her she had to rest and keep quiet for a few days :005:
-
Glad to hear he is feeling better :luv: and good luck trying to keep him quiet :005:
-
Glad he's doing well after his op, how anyone can be bouncy so soon after an op like that amazes me though :005:
Hope he enjoys getting back out and about soon :-*
ETA: I know he's a pooch and not a person :005: (OH just read this over my shoulder and announced I thought dogs were people ::))

Zorro's half brother Freddie was "done" on Wednesday last. He suffered from the same problem altho the one that hadn't descended was on the way down altho smaller than the other. He was a bit subdued, naturally, for the rest of the day when we picked him up in the afternoon but full of bounce next day. However he wouldn't wear the "lampshade" which would have prevented him getting at the stitches so I bought a couple of packs of childs' jersey boxer shorts from Asda and put one pair on him, back to front so his tail could still wag, and this did the trick.Or so I thought. He went back for his post op check on Saturday(yesterday) and was found to have a temperature of 104.Much too high and obviously the result of an infection. So antibiotic jabs and a handful of penicillin based antibitotics (sic) for the next few days. He's to have another check up on Tuesday and, hopefully, the stitches out on Saturday.
That's the day of his BIRTHDAY PARTY, he will be one year old on Friday the 13th but we're having a birthday bash on Saturday, after his visit to the vet, when all of his five brothers and sisters are gathering to celebrate and compare. Should be fun altho Freddie won't be allowed off his lead.I will take plenty of pix and hopefully they will appear on C-O-L in due course.
