Not an easy decision, in fact I have gone to hell and back making this decision BUT I got there and am expecting the stalk to arrive at my house in 6 weeks time. :D
I am sooooo excited now, despite crying that we may not be ready yet for the last few weeks, I now do not feel quite so 'betraying' to my old boy Louis. I owe that to a few special people on here who have supported me. ;) You know who you are.............Danni, Sheryl and Hannah. :005: Thankyou. :luv:
So, be prepared for me forcing my new baby in yer faces daily. :005:
Please advise me how to get through the next 6 weeks waiting, such a long time???

Enjoy your 6 weeks of uninterrupted and warm nights though - we got Daisy in February and taking her out for toliet training during the night was not fun!!

Toilet training is going to be fun isnt it. :005: I was thinking of positioning the patio heater in a strategic place for 'peeing' so it was slightly warmer, do you reckon that would work. :005:

Its like I am 'nesting' :005: I have arranged my annual leave off for coming home, so the first 2 months we will be there all the time, and I have reduced my work hours too. Puppy proofing has began, I wont have anything to do other than buy LOTS of pressies for the wee man. :005: In six weeks I will be bankrupt. :005:

I totally know how you feel. We have got our new puppy now, but some days I do have a cry for my lost dog. It is still early days really, as we lost him last year, but the house was so sad and empty. I know he'd love this puppy too, but it does feel like a betrayal. For the first time today I looked at our new monster and thought, I really love you. Then I cried!! The children were nervous, but he is his own individual, you just can't compare them. They both have that mad cockerness, but they are their own puppy. You will be so happy to have a new little nightmare to chase around.

That's the best thing you could have done. It's not a betrayal of Louie, but indicates how much you cared for him. I've experienced this three times now and my new puppy helped me get over my loss.

We waited almost a year after our beautiful boy walked over the rainbow bridge and I still feel his loss. Our little Pipsqueak is such a :angel: darling/devil >:D she hasn't replaced him but she's making her own place in our hearts!
We have to have pics as soon as you're allowed in there with a camera!!

I think i been lucky with keeping him white, weather not been to bad, we now call him the fluff monster because he is full of fluff. I reluctant to take him to the groomers on the 29th for the full works because i know his fluff wil go ahhh. PS I did not realise you were so close to me location wise only bout 6/8 miles. I need to meet fellow cockers for walks as he is so full of beans, all the other pups we meet dont seem as nearly as lively as him and he frightens my SIL pup (red setter half to death) lol maybe we can do a north west meet up if there are any more near us. My absolute good wishes go to you and your new pup. Piccys and names please soooooooooon

OOOooh the excitement builds!
I think Dave was about 11 weeks when we could take him out after second jab.. they don't walk very far though, I forgot about all that ph34r :005:. I solved this problem by popping him in a rucksack and wearing it on my front so I could still do decent walks (I will admit though that I always took him out and pretended he was walking if I saw anyone, as I was too embarrassed to be seen carrying my pooch in the rugged walkers/mountain biking country around here :005: :005: :005:)
How many seconds is it now then??? :D

Well, I will justify it first. :lol:
Once a week little Alf will be going to nanny and grandads for the day. He will be too small for a car seat harness, plus negotiating a pup, bed, toys etc up the long driveway will be a nightmare first thing of a morning. So.....I thought this below would make life easy in the early days, plus keep the little mite under control in my car (A normal cage wouldnt fit in my car, only got two seats). ;)

Patsy, I luuurve the buggy, was looking at them in Robinsons the other day.
Its a great idea, esp' if you can use it in the car too.
Poor Betty used to get put in my Boyfs sports bag, on the bus to and from work every day when she was wee!

As a recent member to this site, I am not sure to Louis's and your circumstance, however I am sure when your new baby snuggles up to you and kisses you, you will be reminded of the great times you had with Louis, but also will fill you with love and anticipation of the fun and games you will again be part of. :luv:

OMG my daughter will be mad if she knows you got horses she wil try and bring a smuggle bag and do a swop Shadow 4 a horse :005: only kiddin she has been riding for about 6 months lol she only 12 and has been making sure she can come on the southport meet to see all the other cockers now i will be demented mum who got the horses, etc etc lol
