Hello everyone,
We brought our new golden show Cocker home today - we've also named him Cooper as I see another poster has!
So far, so good! He's really sweet, quite timid but has a very waggy tail. He's currently snoring softly on the sofa beside me. :D
I posted a few days ago about my concerns re introducing him to my cat but it's actually gone really well so far. Cooper was happy to be in his crate today so we left him snoozing in there with the door open. My cat came in and immediately went to investigate, they had a good look at each other and my cat didn't hiss at him or run off. We'll see how it goes when Cooper emerges from the crate though!

I hope it goes well for cooper and your cat :D

Hi Polar bear
How funny we both named our babies Cooper!
We also have 2 cats and they seem quite wary but we are currently separating them intermittently throughout the day.
I cant believe how much ours sleeps, we are currently trying out his cage with the door shut so fingers crossed for me tonight. Are you like us and going bonkers overboard everytime he does a poo?!
Keep me updated on your progress its nice to have some support as a new mum
Claire and Cooper xx

"He's really sweet, quite timid " ha ha ha enjoy while you canTeal was like that for a few days, now she is just a ball of hyper active black fur with very sharp teeth

Thanks for all your replies :D
Hmm, yes, I have a feeling this meek and mild persona won't last!
Cooper's Mum - he hasn't done a pooh yet! We're quite concerned. We've only had him since 12 noon today though so I'm sure lots will be forthcoming quite soon!

so glad Cooper is settling in well and the cat has already been to investigate
Another Cooper here too, my middle fur baby, what a great name choice ;)
Hope you enjoy COL

Another Cooper! Great minds and all that.... :D

That is strange because for ages i was going to call Kol (cole) Cooper but then decided i wanted a norse name as his KC name is Rebrose Loki

We 'rescued' a tiny spaniel x pup when we were living in Cyprus - we called him Cooper! He had parvo, and proved to be a real fighter as he came through unscathed - we called him Cooper after Henry Cooper, ( we daren't call him Henry because DD was pregnant with baby number one at the time, and Henry was a name under consideration!!)

Can't believe how many coopers there are, just goes to show what a great cocker name we chose :D

Loving all these Cooper's. The inspiration for ours came from the new build housing estate we live on called Cooper's Edge.
