For people who dont know we are expecting to bring Barney our beautiful chocolate roan boy home in 13 days time.

at 11.30 this evening i switched the machine on and found an email from my breeder asking me to get in touch with her it is nothing to panic about but she needs to speak to us(damm my phone had ran out of power).

i have rattled of a couple of emails str8 away asking her to ring me anytime day or night as i dont think i will sleep tonight.

i am so worried we have fallen in love with him already, he has a lovely calm temperment.

he was due to have his first jabs and check up this week so i hope it isnt anything to do with that.

i dont know what to do. :(

If they say its nothing to panic about then its probably nothing to panic about. My breeder ended up asking me to come a day earlier to pick Wilf up, you never know it could be as simple as that

i am hoping you are right and the rational side of me is telling me to calm down,

its feels just so difficult,

i feel helpless, 5 past one in the morning cant sleep thinking about it, i think it will be a long night ahead.

i hope the little bab is ok

If it was bad news I doubt if they'd send you an email (well hopefully not) and probably would have phoned you.

she had tried to ring but prob with phone, the bit i am hanging on is the 'nothing to panic' bit of the email,

i keep rehersing worse case case senario's about making decsisons, i know it sounds crazy but i feel so atached to him already.

I know how you feel about Barney. Reading your posts over the past few weeks has just been lovely, I've been anticipating Barney's arrival too,and I know how worried you'll be.
I hope you've managed to contact the breeder, and will keep checking this section for an update from you.

 Hi all,
I am very, very tired!!!  :blink: .

I did speak to our breeder.

she went to the vets who picked up that barney had a turquoise eye and a brown eye, vet checked him thouroughly nothing wrong or to worry about, he wasnt at all concearned with the eyes and felt it was a cosmetic issue.

our breeder ( who has been so so helpful and thoughful) did say to us we could withdraw from buying barney, she has a little blue roan boy left in the litter, we couldnt even think of that, we love him so much already and if its just cosmetic it will prob mean we cant show him :lol:  i had no  :lol: intention to anyway.

i feel relieved but still have that niggling feeling in the back of my mind, does anyone have experience of this. someone said it can lead to deafnrss in cats,also even if it waS serious i dont know whether i could not have him.

 :huh:

any advice to give anyone.

Paul, the deafness in cats is only in pure white cats. I know a collie and a huskie who both have a beautiful bright blue eye...and they are fine.

Sorry Paul i cant help you, but i'm sure someone with experience will be on soon.

 We had our Lab Nell for a day, when she was diagnosed with a heart murmur, our breeder offered to take her back and replace her  :o there was  no way she was going anywere even after only having her for one day, we were far to attached, she's still here and doing fine  :D it doesn't seem to affect her at all yet, she's five in a couple of months. :D

Aw sorry you have had a bit of any upset with Barney  :(   Sorry don't know anything about eye colouring but I'm sure someone will be able to help  ;)
