Hi, Nutty is nearly 16 weeks and the last 24 hours have been strange. Last night we came back from visiting a friend around 11pm, she entered the house looking nervous and was thrashing at the stair gate to get upstairs; she doesn’t go upstairs. She appeared to want to sleep upstairs so I made a bed up.
Today she’s not interested in food, not even treats - that’s unheard of.
Tonight she indicated she wanted a poop, took her out, 2 mins later she shot back to the front door (she never wants to come in early) and thrashed at the stair gate again. I was curious so I opened the gate. Big mistake. Curiosity got me a big brown ‘pattern’ on my new duvet
She seems anxious, she’s alert at the tiniest noise, she’s sits on the nearest sofa to the front door, we don’t use that sofa. A feint noise and she’s alert, looking at the door, if she thinks somebody is there she whimpers and jumps on my lap. Nothing has changed, there’s nothing to be scared of and I trained her to go to her crate if the doorbell rings, she’s usually really good at that.
I can only think of teething. I’ve been gently rubbing the back of her jaws (where our wisdom teeth come), I can’t feel anything but she likes it.
Does anybody else think this is teething please? I can’t feel any wobbly ones and she was missing a front lower tooth when i got her at 8 weeks, all the rest are still present I think.
Thanks.
John.
