I thought I'd read once that it had to be about an inch long for aiming purposes. As if it's too short, they wee on themselves. :dunno:

Agreed.  I wouldn't chop it too short.... but then my boy dog is a lurcher so his willy-tuft is quite short anyway  :005:

and his legs are about 3 ft long so he has a better chance of missing himself as well :005:

I've cut Freddie's once, funnily enough it doesn't appear to have grown again.Most odd.

I think this is the second unkindest cut of all.I think you'll know what the first is.

I trim Alfie's. If you get them to lie on their back you can kind of trim it from the back to the front and leave a more natural shape which I've found lessens the chance of them peeing on themselves but you can still keep it nice and short.
