Zorro's half brother Freddie was "done" on Wednesday last. He suffered from the same problem altho the one that hadn't descended was on the way down altho smaller than the other. He was a bit subdued, naturally, for the rest of the day when we picked him up in the afternoon but full of bounce next day. However he wouldn't wear the "lampshade" which would have prevented him getting at the stitches so I bought a couple of packs of childs' jersey boxer shorts from Asda and put one pair on him, back to front so his tail could still wag, and this did the trick.Or so I thought. He went back for his post op check on Saturday(yesterday) and was found to have a temperature of 104.Much too high and obviously the result of an infection. So antibiotic jabs and a handful of penicillin based antibitotics (sic) for the next few days. He's to have another check up on Tuesday and, hopefully, the stitches out on Saturday.
That's the day of his BIRTHDAY PARTY, he will be one year old on Friday the 13th but we're having a birthday bash on Saturday, after his visit to the vet, when all of his five brothers and sisters are gathering to celebrate and compare. Should be fun altho Freddie won't be allowed off his lead.I will take plenty of pix and hopefully they will appear on C-O-L in due course.
