Claire has just sent me an update on Zorro and asked I update you all, this was her text:

ZZ top, prognosis:  Impossibly Bouncy!!  Have given up on the playpen!   :005: :005:

Claire doesn't have internet access at home at the moment, but I'm sure she will give you full details on Tuesday when she's back at work.

Just sending a v quick update from an internet cafe - Zorro's doing great, the only trouble is he's sooooo full of beans  he keeps leaping up and down  ph34r so we're just doing whatever we can to keep him quiet. Bella is missing the wrestling  :luv:

He's allowed out for lead walks from tomorrow, thankfully, then proper walks again from Tuesday - hurray!  :D He's not touched the wounds (2 of 'em as he had one undescended testicle) so they're obviously not bothering him in the slightest and they look nice and healthy - healing well.

Glad he's doing well  ;)

As for keeping him quiet good luck  :005:  I couldn't keep Fern still at all after the GA had worn off, wish the vets had told her she had to rest and keep quiet for a few days  :005:

Glad he's doing well after his op, how anyone can be bouncy so soon after an op like that amazes me though  :005:

Hope he enjoys getting back out and about soon  :-*

ETA:  I know he's a pooch and not a person  :005: (OH just read this over my shoulder and announced I thought dogs were people  ::)

Zorro's half brother Freddie was "done" on Wednesday last. He  suffered from the same problem altho the one that hadn't descended was on the way down altho smaller than the other. He was a bit subdued, naturally, for the rest of the day when we picked him up in the afternoon but full of bounce next day. However he wouldn't wear the "lampshade" which would have prevented him getting at the stitches so I bought a couple of packs of childs' jersey boxer shorts from Asda and put one pair on him, back to front so his tail could still wag, and this did the trick.Or so I thought. He went back for his post op check on Saturday(yesterday) and was found to have a temperature of 104.Much too high and obviously the result of an infection. So antibiotic jabs and a handful of penicillin based antibitotics (sic) for the next few days. He's to have another check up on Tuesday and, hopefully, the stitches out on Saturday.
That's the day of his BIRTHDAY PARTY, he will be one year old on Friday the 13th but we're having a birthday bash on Saturday, after his visit to the vet, when all of his five brothers and sisters are gathering to celebrate and compare. Should be fun altho Freddie won't be allowed off his lead.I will take plenty of pix and hopefully they will appear on C-O-L in due course.
