Kaspers not well
« on: January 30, 2008, 10:14:37 PM »
Hi Kasper's not well.

 Woke up yesterday to be confronted by a horrible mess, puddles of poo and sick everywhere. Anyway i put it down to the fact that he drank boggy water during his walk that day, he seemed OK in himself and has still been eating i thought the worst was over. However today he has eaten as normal and had three solid motions, but again this evening puddles all over the garden.
Was trying to let him fight it off himself if possible (as he seems so well in himself) he is a little tired but as i said he is still playing, eating and drinking. What would you advise should i give him another 24 hours before contacting the vet.

Couldn't say what to do but I hope he gets better soon.  :-* :-*
Something I always forget is that you could just give the vets a call and see what they say in the morning without actually taking him in.

Sorry to hear Kasper's not well.
Whenever one of ours has had sickness or diarrhoea(?) we've been told to starve  them for 24 hours. If your vet has a 24 hour service then I would ring them now and they'll be able to give you some advice.

he is currently being sick in the garden, I have spoken to the vet and will observe him till morning. If he is no better i will take him in straight away. I thought he was over the worst of it but obviously not.

Bless him, I do hope you don't have too difficult a night.
Do you think he could have eaten something in the garden or similar? Might be worth a check around outside before the vets in the morning perhaps.
Hope you get some sleep  :-*

Have had a look, not really got any plants just grass, as i said before he did drink stagnant water when we were out walking the day before yesterday (did call him away but you know what there like). Our garden is fenced in and the kids hav'nt been playing out so i don't think that he has eaten anything. Not really sure, my little girl has just been ill so maybe he has caught something from her, its just awful when they can't tell you.
