Yoshi's first walk...
« on: February 23, 2009, 04:30:33 PM »
...ended with a German Shepherd Dog trying to have him as an appetiser. The poor wee soul really got the fright of his life and I'm kinda hoping it doesn't have any lasting effects on him. Time will tell, I suppose.

The man who owns the GSD apologised profusely (luckily she was leaded up at the time); I felt so sorry for him. I know he rescued her and has done a lot of work with her to try to socialise her. I hope he doesn't feel too badly about what happened.

Apart from that the walk went quite well I thought.   :lol2:

Sorry to hear Yoshi had a fright on his first time out. Murphy was pounced on by a German Shepherd when he was a young pup. And an unruly lab. In fact there were a few in a row and I wondered if he was cursed!! It has taken him a while but is now OK if a little wary of GS dogs but large dogs in general he doesn't have a problem with. Luckily I know someone with a GSD and Murphy had a run around with him after the attack. He tended to play a little but hide round my legs a lot to begin with but after a while got a bit more confident.

Yoshi still has plenty of time to meet lots of friendly dogs of all shapes and sizes so hopefully he will be fine.  :D
