YIPEEE! I love having housetrained pups!
« on: January 08, 2010, 09:42:53 PM »
After a whole week of wonderful demonstrations of housetraining-ness, I just wanted to shout it out!! I love having housetrained pups!

(Granted this may not last with a season upon us and a blokey pup that is going away for a few weeks - but for now, I am going to relish in my happiness - it is the most amazing feeling when you see all your hard work pay off!!)

I must admit I find the housetraining the most 'stressful' part of puppy ownership - the constant watching out on high alert!!! When you can rely on them to take themselves to the door - especially when you have two - it is fab!!!! Yay!

Know that feeling well. Whenever Roly used to leave the room and head to the kitchen I would follow.  After a while it became a bit of a game for him to see how many times he could get me to follow him. ;) Not a daft cocker.  Once I realised he was dry it was wonderful - no up and down like a yo-yo.

Lexi has been great and was housetrained when she arrived, not one accident :D

Have you ever noticed that it seems they always want urgent 'outs' at the end of a programme you are watching??  :005:

Thank goodness for videos/dvd's, when my two were young it was a godsend to have it on record - so you could get up and not miss the crucial bit  ;) :D

I am sure they did not realise - it was only coincidence  ::) :-*

Yay! Well done to you and your lovely pups. :D

I remember with Duggie, I didn't even realise he was housetrained until I noticed I still had plenty of kitchen roll left! :005:

That's exactly the same in this household! Key indicators have been amount of kitchen roll bought and number of times the mop has been out!!

Well done rwasinski puppies!!

What a great feeling, I don't blame you shouting it!! :D :D

Would agree it's the worst part of puppyhood.

the constant watching out on high alert!!!

Can be very tiring but it pays off in the end!!

Well done again :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

I really sympathise Fiona, it was the same with Brodie and I thought she'd never stop ::). She drove me to tears several times. She is way better now, although still sometimes forgets when she is overexcited >:(.

Well done to Llewelyn, Brodie was a quick learner but still took up a fair share of kitchen roll :005:
