Well, thank goodness you have good instincts and took him to the vet!  Lots of us will be thinking of you this evening, it is so awful not having them at home and knowing they are unwell.  But hopefully he will be back with you soon, driving you nuts again!

Hope you get some decent sleep tonight, knowing he is being looked after, and that tomorrow brings good news.

Spoke with the vets the morning and unfortunately Nacho was sick again throughout the night, even after having quite strong anti-sickness injections.

He is back under general anaesthetic and having an endoscopy so see if there are any sneaky blockages or fundamental issues with his gut. Should there be none of that, they are doing an exploratory incision to see what the else the problem could be. Once these 2 options have been exhausted, he'll be medically treated to see if drugs can solve it (possible gastroentoritis).

Needless to say my partner and I are absolutely fraught with worry. Thankfully the insurance had been live for 48hrs (after the statutory 2 week grace period) so he is covered for his expenses which are already the wrong side of a grand!

Thanks for the kind wishes so far, will keep you all updated.

Just spoke with vets. Started with the endoscopy, nothing. Then ultrasound, nothing. Opened him up and found a number of swollen lymph glands around his intestine which is likely the cause of the issue. Due to the stress however Nacho went downhill and essentially passed on the table. Vet & nurse brought him back and he is currently under 1-2-1 supervision, breathing on his own with decent blood pressure. Have to call at 7pm to get another update.
