We question people over the phone to see whether they should visit, then if both parties are happy they get a puppy, sadly people aren't always as they seem so you have to be extra careful that's all  .

Just to give you another example Charlene....a few years ago we had a really nice lady enquire by telephone & after a very long conversation she was invited to come & visit a puppy.  So far so good.  When she arrived with her husband i saw a different side to the potential home for the puppy.    Although the lady was very pleasant, her husband wasn't  He had this attitude he was doing me a favour, which is so utterly wrong (most people that have bred will tell you how protective you become with them  ) & to top it all he handled the puppy quite roughly    There was no way in this world i would have let the puppy go to that home. It is so totally different when having tele. conversations to actually meeting people & observing they way they interact with your own dogs & puppies.    As Cayley said people aren't always as they seem.

If you take my advice you'll wait to pick the puppy as long as possible and then let HIM pick you!  That's the way I've always picked my dogs in the past, and given the opportunity I wouldn't do it any other way.

Someone who wants to show would be looking for different things, but for a pet the important thing is that the dog loves you as much as you love him, and getting the one that shows the most interest in you is a sure way of knowing., and with you having the pick of the litter it should be easy peasy.
