That's really interesting Karma! I've never actually thought about that! I have realised that Alfie likes eye to eye contact 'cos when pulling he's toy with him if I get distracted and try and do it whilst looking at something else (can't help but multi-task!) he simply loses interest and stops pulling. So I guess jumping up is probably more trying to gain attention. My trainer said it was insecurity which I suppose it is but it depends on the situation I guess
