Aww Toby, you're such a handsome chap! Don't blacks look scrummy in red?

Aww thanks, but if you'd seen him at the end of the walk - his new suit covered in mud where he'd played with one of his friends  :005:

Ok thats it after lots of humming and ahhing I am going to get an equifleece.

But my question is what happens when they jump in stream with it on - does it sag etc!

It sags a bit but the water doesn't hold. Still keeps dogs dry.

That's amazing.  Toby lies in puddles and stays dry but I've wondered what would happen if he went in deep water with it on.

Do you think it makes them hot?

Toby hasn't panted at all while he's been wearing it.  He's been very comfortable in it.  But it has been cold.  The fleeces are breathable as well so I don't think they would overheat.  They're quick enough to get off if you needed to cool your dog down a bit.

Odie's equafleece isn't to wear whilst he is outdoors, it's to dry him off after walks/baths etc.  As he loves nothing better than wallowing in muddy puddles, it wouldn't be wise to use it outside!
Both taken away from us far too soon. x  RIP Angels Odie & Archie, causing mayhem at the Rainbow, no doubt!

I'm thinking thats what we will do - let him get mingy and dirty outside then put him in it to keep warm (and save my cream house abit!!!).

Is he a porker or have I measured him wrong at 25".........

I have to admit, the legs are a bit short on Odie now but he's quite tall (around 16" high) but only weighs around 11.5kg.  I may splash out on a larger one next Chrimbo for him :shades:

I phoned Equafleece up and asked them if they could make the legs a bit longer but they said Nooooo.  In all honesty, Toby could do with the front legs being 1" longer and the back legs 2" longer.  That would give far more coverage.  But at least 90% of him comes home clean and dry.

Haven't read all the replies so apologies if this repeats anything. Storm has a waterproof coat for winter rain and snow walks as he hasn't got much fur and freezes when when wet. He also has an Equafleece jumper for when he gets home and yes it is the slim fit one but I guess that will depend on your cockers build, some of them seem quite square whereas Storm is lean. He also has a polo neck for between runs at training if its cold. Equafleeces are ok for short, light showers but the rain we walked in this morning we would've ended up with a wet, cold jumper on a wet cold dog! When he was a puppy I was leant a 'fake' Equafleece (can't remember the make) and it was nowhere as good as the real thing. Hope that helps and glad mine isn't the only one who wears a coat, think a few people are shocked that my Working Cocker wears a coat of any kind!  :005:
