Title: The Name Game

Oh what a chore - I have to name my gorgeous new puppy!!! :D

I am really stuck and would appreciate any suggestions. <_<

He is orange roan but I think he will be mainly cream with orange spots as this is the colouring of his older sister and dad, and this is the colouring he is showing now.

I'd like something to go with Daisy, so possibly another nature name (Woody?!) or something to reflect his colour.

I am really stuck and any suggestions would be appreciated, a prize will go to the namer of my pup - you can have the first puppy cyber kiss from him when he gets home!!! :lol: :lol:

I wouldn't go for anything that sounds too much like Daisey as it would be confusing. Ollie goes with Daisey well I think :)

I like Ollie, Charlie, Riley, Toby, Jack, Ziggy, Benson, Zack & Sam so far - keep trying them out for when I manage to convince hubby to get a brother (or sister!) for Max next year maybe!!

When we were trying to name Max, we did a google search for dog's names & there were several really good sites - some had features where you could search for themed names like nature & colours - might be worth a go?!

We ended up going with Max partly because we just liked it & partly because it's his dad's name too!

One word of advice - don't go with another 'D' name :rolleyes: I have no problems getting Vegas' name out but if I'm calling on Dallas or Disney, it ends up going along the lines of "here Da..Di..Da..Di........oh, never mind" :lol: :lol:

My hubby wanted 'Deefer' / 'Deefor' when we got Max - as in D for Dog - he'd seen it somewhere on telly I think!! I actually quite liked it!!

Forgot to add Dylan - love that name - goes well with Daisy but not a nature theme or a colour!!

My daughter is now called Sorrel and son is Felix, after Mendelssohn of course not the cat.

Daisey and Dill bring back memories. Dill could of course be short for Dylan.

Quite like Daisey and Dandy! Also Basil.

I have to be honest, I'm siding with Woody too - and its one of the few that OH likes - he's like a fussy woman honestly!!! Every name I (or you) suggest either reminds him of someone, or something and he wrinkles up his nose!! Huh! <_<

I do also like Sebastian (bit of a mouthful when your yelling across the park!), Rupert, Dougal, Jessie, Merlin, Sonny, Harley, Harvey, Bobby, Henry, Rufus and Mossy (and a thousand others!)

The only one that OH has liked on here is Aspen - and I think I have been banned from that one by Gill ;)

Maybe I'll wait till he comes home like some people do with babies!!!! :D

I think we've settled on Woody too :) Left up to OH he would be named Rooney or Schmichael. :rolleyes:
