Title: Hello from Geordie land!
Post by: Geordie Girl on March 08, 2006, 07:04:11 PM
Hi everyone,

just wanted to introduce myself and my gorgeous 9 week old puppy Alfie.  We've had Alfie for 2 1/2 weeks now and he's an absolute joy to have as part of our family.  I've never had a dog before so this is rather new to me, but in the 6 weeks we waited for Alfie (it seemed like forever!) I did nothing but read about cocker spaniels and puppies, I have been quite addicted to cockersonline and have read loads of really useful advice and great stories!  Of course putting the theory into practice is never quite as easy as it sounds, but we just take one day at a time and Alfie is a little star - most of the time!

Really looking forward to being a part of COL and sharing all my cocker news and dilemmas,
Lucy and Alfie

Welcome to COL GeordieGirl! You may or may not be pleased to know that the very 'nerve centre' ( ) is just down the A19 in Sunderland! I'll not start any of that Geordie/Mackem stuff here though!  ;)

Welcome, and to Alfie too!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, it's great to talk to people that are as obssessed with their cockers as I am!

Don't worry stueymac, I won't hold you being a Mackem against you! He He!  In fact Alfie came from a wonderful breeder in County Durham so I'll let him bridge the gap!

I live in Fenham in Newcastle.  Would be great to join in on one of the North East meets, I think there might be one planned for the 25th/26th, Alfie will be ready to be out and about by then but as he can only walk for 15 mins at a time we might hold everybody else up so might be best to wait till next time.

Phew!

I wouldnt worry about Alfie, I'm sure he'd enjoy a little 15 min stroll with the others, I'm sure everyone won't mind having a little short stroll first to Alfie gets introduced.  ;)

We have Buddy, 14 months old so all growed up now (in a "Kevin" sort of way). He's blue roan and gorgeous.
